PATINA STEEL FULL
Stainless Black patina works best used full strength. Sandblasting is the recommended method but you may also use an orbital sander with 80 to 120 grit sandpaper, or the metal may also be soaked in muriatic acid. In order for this patina to react, you must remove the nickel and chrome from the surface before applying the patina. A normal dilution range would be between 25% – 50%. Stainless Black Patina works best at full strength, but can be diluted with distilled water if desired. On stainless steel, this patina will be blue grey at first and then darken as more coats are applied. It is not recommended for other metals, but on zinc and galvanized steel, it can produce a red-brown or weathered black patina. Stainless Black Patina is made specifically for stainless steel.
